BONNIE’S FIRST BLUE depicts local teamster Ron Martinson and his mare “Bonnie” coming out of the ring at the Draft Horse Classic after winning their first ever halter class. I happened to catch a picture of them with their legs at the same angle as Ron was trying to hold Bonnie back with his elbow and the stud chain. Meanwhile Bonnie was trying to get to her brother and teammate, “Stan”, who was outside the gate calling to her.
