Upon first meeting the personable yearling Gypsy Vanner GYPSY WIZARD at the 2004 Western States Horse Expo, I knew I wanted to sculpt him and try to capture his charm. Beyond his beauty, what impressed me most was his mellow temperment.

His owners were most gracious about moving him around for me to photograph the reference photos that became the basis of this bronze portrait of him.

The patina man was able to capture his markings and even his unique blue eyes that show in the original head shot I have included.
