The LITTLES Series grew out of numerous requests for copies of the small, one-of-a-kind Christmas ornaments I sculpt from Polyform clay, the same material I use in my bas relief tiles and magnets. When I found a Montana foundry that specializes in small bronzes, I was able to start creating a line of small, reasonably priced, solid bronzes. Unlike the large pieces that I sculpt in solid, oil based plasticine, for these I roll out thin sheets of the Polyform to shape over a twisted wire armature that I have bulked out with alumininum foil. These I can work on sitting in my recliner "watching" TV before baking them in the oven and mailing them to the foundry.
