MAJOR UNDERTAKING potrays the first stage in getting a draft horse ready to show. One of my favorite memories is watching my teenaged daughter braiding the Creyts Belgian geldings after they taught her to groom and show draft horses. She not only rolled manes from each horse’s back, but she had her own way of braiding tails, lying across their butts. Once I had the horse sculpted, I made wire skeletons for the girls to be sure they were sized correctly. I sculpted them off of the horse, and that’s how they were cast before welding them on the horse’s back where X’s had been marked in the clay before making the molds. I liked MAJOR UNDERTAKING so much that I decided to create the stages of braiding with MAJOR READY TO HARNESS and HARNESSING MAJOR. Contact me if you are interested in all three as "MAJOR TRILOGY".
