Given that I call my studio "Bronze Portraits from Nature", it is little wonder that I welcome commissions whether they portray special animals or situations, as one-of-a-kind portraits, the first casting in a limited edition, trophies, or even sterling silver jewelry. I am always happy to discuss potential commissions and have prepared a packet explaining the process and containing the measurements I require if I do not do a photo shoot of the subject, my contract, and an order form. In addition to the PayPal option, I also offer a Zero Interest Payment Plan.
Each of my commissions captures a moment in time that is special to the client. A few examples include:
BRUCE AND BING was commissioned by Bruce’s wife as a surprise for him to be presented at the Honor’s Convocation of Thatcher School, Ojai, CA where the original photo that served as the reference was taken after teenaged Bruce trained his Quarter Horse Bruce to sit and the English teacher had him pose for the Yearbook with a book making it appear Bing was reading over his shoulder.
DANCING MORGANS was commissioned by Carole Mercer to portray her gorgeous black Morgan mares, Valentine and Bobbi, sidepassing as they performed their musical ride and drive to the Beautiful Blue Danube.
VICTORY PASS was commissioned by the rider’s husband as a surprise for his wife to be presented at the Awards Ceremony when she and her lovely Arabian mare received their Legion of Merit. This versatile mare won Regional Awards in many disciplines, but her owner most loved it when they won their Regional Dressage Award as portrayed in the bronze.
